Rangers have discovered who they will face in this season’s Europa League group stage with Steven Gerrard’s side set to take on FC Porto, Feyenoord and Young Boys in a much tougher group than the one they faced last season.

After last night’s pulsating 1-0 win over Legia Warsaw at Ibrox, the Gers were one of 48 teams drawn out of the hat in Monaco today – and Gers fans are looking forward to a trip to the Netherlands.

Alfredo Morelos’ 90th-minute header was enough to secure a narrow aggregate win over Legia as the Gers became the first side ever to reach the group stages from the first qualifying round in successive seasons.

The group stage runs from September 19th through to December 12th as sides look to make their way to the final in Gdansk in May.

Feyenoord thumped Hapoel Be’er Sheva 6-0 on aggregate in the playoff but have drawn their opening three Eredivisie games under Jaap Stam after the former defender replaced former Ibrox star Gio van Bronckhorst at De Kuip over the summer.

Rangers last met Feyenoord in 2002 when the sides clashed in the same competition, crashing out 4-3 on aggregate shortly after Alex McLeish had taken the reins.

After the draw was made in Monaco, Gers fans are excited about the prospect of a trip to Rotterdam – although the Light Blues have confirmed they won’t be taking any tickets for their next away European fixture.
