Rangers fans react as Twitter details the start of Celtic's Banter Years

Rangers fans on Twitter have been left in tears after a thread compiling the start of their own ‘Banter Years’ saw the ‘baton passed’ from one side of Glasgow to the other.

After seeing plenty come out of Ibrox in the past – AGM in a tent for example – the utter collapse of Celtic into a series of farces has Gers fans laughing now.

One Twitter user summed it up perfectly with a Twitter thread, and it listed some of the ‘high points’ of the last 12 months for Celtic.

Whether it was complaining that Ryan Christie had rightly been cited by the Compliance Officer or bombarding Sky Sports with complaints about Kris Boyd, it’s been some year for them.

With Rangers sitting 22 points clear in the league and their shambolic trip to Dubai coming back to haunt them, things look like they’re only going to get worse for Celtic.

Having 13 players isolating following their jolly to the sunshine, Celtic now face relying on fringe players to beat Hibs tonight and claw back some of Rangers’ massive lead.

Gers fans on Twitter were absolutely loving their descent into farce though, and the thread on Twitter seemed to win most of their approval.

Here are some of the comments from Rangers fans on Twitter:
