Rangers fans react as Celtic blow chance to close title lead

Celtic blew the chance to close the gap on Rangers at the top of the Scottish Premiership after drawing 1-1 with Hibs last night – and Gers fans on Twitter are

The Parkhead side went into the game missing 13 players as a result of self-isolation as their mind-blowingly ridiculous trip to Dubai blew up in their face.

After going 1-0 up through David Turnbull’s free-kick, Kevin Nisbet grabbed an injury-time equaliser to leave the Light Blues sitting 21 points ahead of their bitter rivals.

While Celtic still have three games in hand on Rangers, winning all three of those would still only see the Parkhead side close to within 12 points of Steven Gerrard’s Gers.

With only two Old Firm games left this season, that leaves Celtic needing Rangers to lose twice more on top – as well as shedding a 23-goal advantage – to overhaul the Gers.

Fans on Twitter now seem pretty confident that won’t happen, with Gers fans loving it as Celtic dropped even more points in the title race.

Rangers fans have had plenty to say about the circumstances surrounding Celtic’s draw with Hibs and also railed against the decision not to retest Celtic players pre-match.
