Shameless former Rangers owner Craig Whyte is to publish a tell-all autobiography early next year – prompting a mixed reaction fro Gers fans with many left bewildered by the news, while others expect it to be popular with rival fans.
Incredibly, the brazen Whyte will launch his book – titled Bear Pit: The Explosive Autobiography – on the eighth anniversary of Rangers entering administration in 2012.
According to a PR blurb accompanying the book’s listing on Amazon, Whyte was “hung out to dry as the fall guy” for the club’s financial mismanagement which ultimately led to the liquidation of the company which operates the club, formed in 1899.
Whyte would later go on trial for fraud relating to his purchase of David Murray’s shares in 2011, before being acquitted after a shambolic trial.
You can be confident that Whyte will be the misunderstood hero in what is sure to be a fantastic work of fiction from the once-claimed “billionaire.”
Fans on Twitter were stunned at Whyte’s brass neck although expect it’s sure to be a best-seller across the city, with one calling it “ideal for Celtic da’s.”
Here are some of the comments from Rangers fans:
Not one Rangers fan is going to buy that Craig Whyte book but I bet it does relatively well which tells you everything you need to know about Scottish football.

You just know that loads of Celtic fans will be lapping up that Craig Whyte book. No sure they’ve got £8 or can read though so maybe no.

The front cover of that new Celtic facing Rangers bongo book is exactly what I'd expect from a Craig Whyte project…. poorly constructed, dodgy looking and very, very amatuerish in presentation. Ideal for a Celtic Da's bookshelf. pic.twitter.com/cOzJjpWiT7

Craig Whyte bringing out an autobiography (on the anniversary of putting our great club into admin) and trying to line his pockets further from Rangers is a disgrace. I expect this will go down well in one half of Glasgow but I’d be disgusted if any Rangers fans bought it.
