Rangers fans have been left in stitches by an Allan McGregor RangersTV interview after the Europa League win over Brondby.

The champions of Scotland defeated the Danish champions 2-0 at Ibrox on Thursday night to earn their first points in Group A, with Leon Balogun and Kemar Roofe on the scoresheet.

It was a professional performance from the home side and McGregor had next to nothing to do across the 90 minutes, with the visitors failing to land an attempt on target.

He was still sent out for a post-match RangersTV interview, though, and it’s now clear that it doesn’t matter whether it’s external or in-house media, the veteran no longer fancies hanging around.

Nick Thomson tried his best but despite asking three questions, the interview lasted less than a minute.

“Obviously, with the start we’ve had in Europe – it’s not been great – I think it was sort of make or break tonight, so it was good to get the three points,” McGregor replied after being asked how pleased the players were with the win [RangersTV].

That was to be the 39-year-old’s most detailed response.

When asked about keeping a first clean sheet in October, he responded:

“Well, if you win 2-1 or 3-2 does it really matter? No. Is it pleasing that we got a clean sheet? Aye.”

Then, after being asked about the importance of backing up the win with another against St Mirren on Sunday, he said:

“You should just put everything on repeat! Every next game is a big game. Aye, we’ll just go about our business like we try and do every other game. Simple.”

Supporters praised his approach to press duties before a Champions League Qualifier against Malmo earlier in the season and loved this latest interview.

The clip received several thousand likes and hundreds of retweets, while even interviewer Thomson had a laugh about it.
