As Rangers stretched their lead over Celtic to 11 points over the weekend, the nervousness is palpable in the Celtic support with the Green Brigade even flaking at this early stage.

Rangers’ astonishing form has tightened the screw at Celtic Park with the foundations rattling as their fans face up to the prospect of a major challenge from Ibrox.

Taking to Twitter, the Celtic Park Ultras have released a hilarious statement about the situation at Celtic Park and demanded that Neil Lennon leaves his role.

A banner unveiled outside the club’s stadium reads “SAVE THE TEN – TIME TO GO. NEIL.”

On top of that, their statement claims that Celtic have “the best squad in the country” and announced they are “part of the growing of the Celtic support which has sadly concluded that he is unable to turn our season around.”

The statement also harks on about a “decade of unrivalled footballing and financial dominance” as the group struggle to come to terms with Rangers’ progress under Steven Gerrard.

Naturally, this has their Rangers counterparts watching on in quiet awe as they take to Twitter in hilarious uproar over what’s going on across the city with the Green Brigade.

If this is what the Celtic support is like with us going well in November, just imagine the reaction if we can go on to lift the title in May.

If that wasn’t enough, Rangers fans have also been left in stitches amid plans to launch a protest at Celtic Park this evening – you couldn’t make it up.
