Rangers fans have flocked to a tweet from Sky Sports News presenter Jim White as a 55th top-flight title moved closer following a 1-0 win over Livingston.

Predictably, the Gers were made to work hard by a physical Livi side in West Lothian on Wednesday night.

Alfredo Morelos had a frustrating first 86 minutes, given that he was wrongly booked for diving when he should have been awarded a penalty, while he also missed a number of good second-half opportunities.

However, it was the Colombia international who would have the last laugh, as he tapped home from close range at the death after Max Stryjek had palmed away Steven Davis’ shot.

The victory restored Rangers’ 18-point lead at the top of the table they are now on the verge of winning the title for the first time in a decade.

Sky Sports News presenter and talkSPORT host Jim White may be taking great pleasure in that fact, given that he allegedly grew up supporting Rangers, and his post-match tweet attracted plenty of attention.

The tweet didn’t go down well with Celtic fans but Bears flocked to the post to rejoice, with the end of a painful major trophy drought in sight.

Rangers fans have also waxed lyrical about a first-team player after he broke an incredible club record against Livi.
