Rangers fans buzzing at the prospect of Man United legend arriving in Glasgow

Former Manchester United and Ireland midfielder Roy Keane could be about to become the new Celtic manager – and Rangers fans are absolutely buzzing at the prospect of the ex-Ipswich and Sunderland boss returning to Scottish football.

Keane has been touted as a possible replacement for Neil Lennon at Parkhead and the rumour machine went into overdrive on the back of a vague tweet from Sky Sports colleague Micah Richards.

Despite having not managed in a decade – and been a pretty spectacular failure as a manager when he was in the dugout – Rangers fans are looking forward to the possibility of Keane and Steven Gerrard going head-to-head on the touchline.

Fans on Twitter have their fingers crossed that Keane is the man to replace Lennon – and Richards’ tweet really got fans’ interest.
