Rangers fans on Twitter were left in tears last night after a bizarre video featuring Shaun Williamson – aka Barry from Eastenders – as he sings ‘Something Inside So Strong’ to Celtic’s Neil Lennon and Scott Brown.

The video – almost certainly the work of a Rangers fan – sees the actor serenade the isolating Celtic stars and staff after thier trip to Dubai and has appeared on Twitter.

The video sees the actor cracking jokes before reprising his version of Labi Siffre’s song, adopted by Celtic fans, in one of the best bits videos you’ll likely see, the actor saying: “It’s Shaun Williamson here – Barry from Eastenders, Barry from Ricky Gervais’ Extras and Barry from anything anyone’s willing to pay me to be Barry in, basically!”

“Now lads, I hope you’re well. I hope you’re OK and staying safe, and I hope isolation isn’t too bad for you.

“I know things can get a bit grim. I think it’s the weather, really. The weather doesn’t help. It’s all wet, cold and miserable but we’ll get through this.

“We’ll get through this and soon we’ll be back to the weather we were.

“Stay safe and don’t drink too much.

“During lockdown I’ve started drinking brake fluid. Having said that, I can stop any time I like!”

It isn’t the first time Williamson has performed the song publicly, faamously singing to a room of bemused pensioners at the final of the 2014 World Indoor Bowls Championships in Great Yarmouth [YouTube]

Rangers fans were left in hysterics with the video racking up a massive number of retweets and shares – and immediately becoming the “greatest thing” some Gers supporters have ever seen.

Here are some of their comments after the bizarre video appeared on Twitter:
