WWE’s showpiece event WrestleMania kicked off in style in the early hours of this morning in Tampa, Florida – and Rangers fans were loving the club’s addition of their custom WWE Championship to the club’s trophy room yesterday.
The club were gifted the custom title earlier this year after wrapping up the club’s world record 55th league title, with WWE Superstar and lifelong Rangers fan Drew McIntyre and WWE Hall of Famer Triple H sending the Light Blues congratulations on Twitter.

WWE has previously sent custom titles to the likes of Super Bowl winners Tampa Bay Buccaneers, NBA winners LA Lakers and MLB champion LA Dodgers and Rangers joining that list is a nice bit of publicity for the club.
With McIntyre regularly speaking about his love for Rangers – and previously wearing Rangers tartan as part of his wrestling attire – it is a unique addition to the priceless collection of trophies and trinkets that sit at the top of the marble staircase.
McIntyre got WrestleMania underway last night in Tampa, coming up short against Bobby Lashley for the WWE Title at Raymond James Stadium as 25,000 fans were allowed in to watch the annual spectacular.
Fans were loving the addition to the Ibrox trophy room as the weekend got started as they took to Twitter in their droves.
