Rangers manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst has confirmed that Amad Diallo could make his debut tomorrow against Ross County while Joe Aribo is available after returning from AFCON.

Aribo has been missing since the winter break after representing Nigeria at AFCON and Gers fans have been desperate for the Super Eagles star to return to Scotland.

Van Bronckhorst said the midfielder was ready for tomorrow’s clash with Malky Mackay’s side after a “good rest” as he welcomed him back into the squad, saying: “We welcome back Joe Aribo, he has had a good rest and is ready for tomorrow.

“Diallo will also be in the squad for tomorrow.

“Diallo is a young player who wants to play games, we are bringing him to our club to add value to our team. Like any other player in the squad, he has to perform to play but I am full of confidence that he will deliver.”

The Manchester United loanee has only made one senior appearance this season, playing 68 minutes against FC Midtjylland in the Champions League for the Old Trafford side.

The Ivorian prodigy could be handed a place in the starting XI in the Highlands although it is more likely he’ll be on the bench before coming on for his debut.

However, the prospect of next month’s Old Firm means Gio may decide to throw him in right from the start for Rangers against Ross County and try to get him up to speed as quickly as possible before making the short trip across Glasgow on February 2.
