Rangers have accepted a three-match ban for Alfredo Morelos following last week’s win over Hibs at Easter Road.

The Colombian striker was accused of stamping on Ryan Porteous in the first half of the 1-0 win and the Gers ace was issued with a notice of complaint by the Scottish FA – with a hearing scheduled for tomorrow.

However Rangers have accepted Morelos’ guilt and as a result, he will miss Wednesday’s clash with St. Johnstone as well as games with Hamilton and Kilmarnock.

It is the second time this season Morelos has been suspended following retrospective action and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see him sit out more games once his ban is lifted,

With the next game Morelos is eligible for being the Europa League clash with Royal Antwerp, Morelos will probably be lucky to get a place on the bench.

Rangers fans weren’t happy when Morelos was charged after the Scottish FA chose to ignore a similar incident involving Darren McGregor and Glen Kamara – and Celtic icon Kenny Dalglish saying the SFA were leaving themselves open to accusations of bias.
