Rangers fans react on Twitter as starting XI confirmed to face Aberdeen

Rangers are back in action this afternoon when they face Aberdeen at Ibrox in the Scottish Premiership – and Gers fans on Twitter are delighted to see Niko Katic return to the starting XI.

The Light Blues have made three changes from the side that started against Livingston at the Tony Macaroni Arena in midweek with Katic, Steven Davis and Greg Stewart replacing Filip Helander, Joe Aribo and Glen Kamara.

Aribo could miss the next three games before the upcoming international break after requiring 20 stitches to close a head wound picked up against Livi.

Gerrard’s side have games coming thick and fast with a trip to Switzerland to face Young Boys in the Europa League on Thursday to contend with too.

The two sides met seven times last season in all competitions, with Rangers only picking up two wins and drawing a further two – including a League Cup semi-final defeat at Hampden.

Derek McInnes’ side have injury problems of their own to deal with as they go into this afternoon’s meeting potentially missing seven players after a gruelling League Cup defeat to Hearts on penalties in midweek.

Gers fans on Twitter are delighted to see Katic return to the side after being axed for the previous three games against Feyenoord, St. Johnstone and Livingston.
