TalkSport pundit Alan Brazil has been involved in an embarrassing spat with Rangers legend Ally McCoist – and the Gers should be furious after Brazil branded Alfredo Morelos ‘a cheat.’
Morelos was booked by John Beaton after the referee felt he dived to try win a penalty despite it looking like a clear penalty – and replays reinforcing that.
Brazil almost had a coronary when McCoist said the striker had been brought down by Livi keeper Max Stryjek, insisting there’s “no doubt” that the Rangers star is a cheat.
“Morelos gets brought down for a penalty, yet another penalty we didn’t get Alan,” McCoist said [TalkSport]
Brazil replied: “Hold on, hold on. What do you mean he was brought down?”
McCoist then hit back: “He was, the keeper brought him down. It’s a stonewall penalty. The referee then books Morelos for diving.”
Brazil then threw his toys out of the pram, by saying: “Good. At long last we’re getting decent referees in Scotland. There’s no doubt about it he’s a cheat, he’s just a cheat.”
Rangers have appealed Morelos’ booking and the club should look to combat such ridiculous allegations against Morelos.
The Colombian striker’s agent even came out firing on Twitter following the penalty incident that never was just weeks after slaughtering the SFA decision-making process.
