Livingston boss Gary Holt admits there’s been “nothing concrete” in terms of bids for Rangers-linked Lyndon Dykes and insists there’s been no contact from any clubs about the striker.
Rangers have been consistently linked with a move for the former Queen of the South star and have already made four signings this summer.
Holt conceded he’ll have to wait and see whether there are any bids for Dykes but thinks just now that it’s people ” putting two and two together and getting five.”
“There’s been nothing concrete for Lyndon, or any of our players for that matter,” Holt said, as quoted by the West Lothian Courier (via Glasgow Live).
“Nobody has been in touch. We’ll have to wait and see what happens but it’s been a case of people putting two and two together and getting five.”
Dykes scored 12 times in 33 appearances for Livi after making the step up from the Championship last summer.
Steven Gerrard already has Alfredo Morelos, Jermain Defoe, Greg Stewart and others at his disposal and unless Morelos moves on there’s not much chance of regular game-time for Dykes at Ibrox.
With four signings already completed so far this summer, if Rangers are going to make their move for Dykes, you would expect it to happen soon.
