Rangers star Connor Goldson can’t wait to see new team-mates Kemar Roofe and Cedric Itten in action for Steven Gerrard’s side after the Light Blues brought the duo to Ibrox earlier this week – and Goldson admitted the Gers players have been scouring YouTube for clips of their new colleagues.

Roofe and Itten were signed as Gerrard seriously bolsters his attacking options for the coming season and Goldson is hopeful they can take on some of the goalscoring burden.

The new stars arrived as Gerrard’s squad headed to Germany for last night’s game with Bayer Leverkusen so the former Brighton star hasn’t had a chance to see them up close yet.

“They have come in on Tuesday and we travelled to Germany so we haven’t seen them. We have all been looking at them and little clips and things that we can see,” Goldson said, as quoted by the Glasgow Times.

“We are excited. Two good players, two more attacking options to help us further up the pitch and hopefully they can add a lot of goals to our team.”

With the duo ineligible to play last night, Sunday’s visit of St. Mirren to Ibrox will be the first chance for Rangers fans to potentially see one, or both, in action for Gerrard’s side.

The double swoop is a real sign of intent from Gerrard and the Ibrox board as they look to dethrone Celtic and win the club’s first title in a decade.
