Liverpool icon Mo Salah recommended Rangers-linked Pyramids winger and fellow Egypt international Ibrahim Adel to bosses at Anfield.
That’s according to Mirror journalist Graeme Bailey, who first made the claim on 90min and then again on the Talking Transfers podcast.
Amid speculation linking the player to Chelsea, Bailey claims Salah is a big fan of Adel and even recommended him behind the scenes at Liverpool.
“We’re told on this one that Chelsea’s interest is to send him to Strasbourg as well, Ibrahim Adel,” said Bailey.
“He’s a player we have spoken about before. Mo Salah recommended him to Liverpool.
“He is one of the best young players in African football and has been for a little while. He plays for Pyramids in Egypt, Mo Salah does like him and he recommended him to Liverpool.”

Mo Salah ‘tipped’ Rangers-linked Ibrahim Adel for Liverpool
Ibrahim Adel appears to be the next big thing to come out of Egypt with Mo Salah firmly the country’s greatest ever footballing export.
Reports have emerged in TEAMtalk claiming that Rangers failed in a late Ibrahim Adel bid as the club looked to replace the influence of Ryan Kent.
The suggestion has then been that should Rangers want to sign the Egypt international winger then they’d need to fork out somewhere around £4.5m.
However, with a whole host of Premier League clubs also linked – and £34m Anfield icon Mo Salah apparently touting him for Liverpool – it’s clear Rangers would face a fight to sign Ibrahim Adel on at Ibrox.

In fact, nearly half the Premier League is mentioned in the report with Chelsea, Newcastle United, Brighton and Hove Albion, Aston Villa, West Ham United and Burnley all apparently Ibrahim Adel suitors.
If that wasn’t enough, Belgian pair Anderlecht and Club Brugge have also been linked, as well as unnamed Russian clubs, so it’s clear the Egyptian is highly rated.
We’re sure Mo Salah doesn’t just recommend anyone to Liverpool and if Ibrahim Adel is as good as they say he is, maybe Rangers will rue missing out on this one too.
