Rangers boss Michael Beale could be set to deal with former club QPR over the loan transfer of teenage centre-back Leon King.
According to journalist Dean Jones – who was speaking to Give Me Sport – the Loftus Road club are one of several Championship sides interested in the 19-year-old defender.
It comes after reports emerged earlier in the week that Leon King was set to leave Rangers on loan this summer in order to guarantee more minutes this season.
Jones has also explained that the loan move is all about development for Leon King, with QPR the only side directly mentioned in the journalist’s update.
“(An exit) looks likely,” said Jones. “It’s all about personal development and growth for him this season. They want him to continue to build his character in the game.
“And Beale has a good understanding of clubs within the Football League ladder that could probably help with that in England.

“I think a club in the Championship would be good. I did hear that there is some potential around QPR and a few others, so I think something will happen.
“And I think he’s good for many teams in the Championship because he can be versatile across the backline if needed.”

Rangers defender Leon King linked to QPR
Should Leon King move for QPR, it will see Michael Beale send one of his Rangers players on loan to his former club.
It also comes after the Rangers boss’ controversial exit from the London club, ex-Ibrox assistant Beale rejoining Rangers after initially committing himself to QPR amid interest from Premier League Wolves.
Leon King is also set to see reduced minutes this season amid much transfer speculation surrounding the centre-back spot.

Connor Goldson, John Souttar, Ben Davies and Leon Balogun are all in front of Leon King in the Ibrox pecking order and QPR may well offer an interesting option for the defender.
The Ibrox side have also been repeatedly linked to Australian international centre-back Harry Souttar, who could join on loan from Leicester City.
