Robby McCrorie and Andy Dallas made their debuts on loan for Morton on Saturday – and both will have been impressed with their performance for Jonatan Johansson’s side.

The duo signed for the Ton on Friday and were pitched straight into JJ’s starting XI to face Dunfermline.

Despite only meeting their new team-mates 24 hours earlier, both put in impressive shifts as the sides played out a 0-0 draw.

McCrorie was rarely troubled by the Pars’ front-line as he recorded a debut clean-sheet while Dallas caused problems for the Fifers’ defence.

The result leaves Morton one point off Queen of the South in the final play-off place.

Dallas has been scoring regularly for the Gers reserve and will be desperate to carry over to senior football.

After extending his Ibrox contract last week, the striker now has a great chance to impress at Cappielow.

McCrorie had a loan spell with Berwick and will be looking to impress and show why he deserves his chance.

Steven Gerrard’s side have a surplus of goalkeepers and the arrival of Andy Firth pushes McCrorie further down the queue.

Both McCrorie and Dallas will be working with a familiar face in Johansson after the Finn’s recent spell at Ibrox.

With the Ton looking to get into the play-offs, it’s a great platform to show Gerrard what they can do.
