Bury manager Ryan Lowe thinks Jordan Rossiter’s quality shone through in his first start on loan with the Shakers – and insists his side done their homework on the Rangers midfielder.

After making his debut from the bench the week before, Rossiter started the draw with Crawley on Saturday.

Lowe thinks the former Liverpool kid was excellent as he looks to get a run of games under his belt.

“Jordan was excellent when he came on last week and you’ve seen his qualities there again,” Lowe told iFollow Bury.

“We know who is about, we don’t just go and pick the players who’ve got a so-called name.

“We do our due diligence on them and our homework on them.”

Since joining the Gers, Rossiter has suffered an injury nightmare which has limited his game-time.

After spending much of the last two-and-a-half seasons on the sidelines, Rossiter now needs to get his career back on track.

Regular games with Bury should help him get back to his best and give Rangers a decision to make over his future.

The midfielder will have one year left on his Ibrox deal when he returns in the summer.

Whether he has a long-term future at Ibrox remains to be seen but a string of solid performances for Bury will do him no harm.

If he can stay fit and impress then Rangers might finally get the best out of the former England youth international.
