HJK Helsinki boss Mika Lehkosuo believes Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos is “ready for bigger things” and tipped the Colombian for a move to England.
Morelos joined the Gers from HJK in 2017 and has been a revelation since arriving at Ibrox.
The Gers welcomed HJK to Ibrox on Sunday as part of the deal to sign Morelos and Lehkosuo admits that the striker has improved during his time in Glasgow.
“Alfredo is ready for bigger things if he wants them. It depends on what he wants to do, but he is ready. He could play in England but it is up to him what he wants to do,” Lehkosuo said, as quoted by
“He has improved a lot in the last two years since he moved to Rangers. He has learned to mature because when he was young when he was with us.”
Morelos was lethal in Finnish football, with 46 goals and 13 assists in 62 games before making a £1million move to the Light Blues.
Since arriving in Scotland he’s hit 38 goals in 77 games to carry on his clinical goalscoring record.
It seem inevitable that Morelos will move on from Ibrox before too long.
The Gers will be looking to make a massive profit on the Colombian international first though.
There’s little need for Steven Gerrard’s side to look to move Morelos on any time soon however.
With a title on the line, Morelos could get Champions League football at Ibrox before long.
Morelos is hugely popular with Gers fans too and that could help sway him towards staying longer.
He might be ready to move to a England but the chance to win cups and title at Ibrox could help the Gers,
