Hibernian manager Jack Ross says that Rangers loanee, Florian Kamberi, will face ‘consequences’ for his controversial comments after moving to Ibrox last week, as quoted by the Daily Record.
As has been well documented, the forward said he was realising a dream by joining the Gers and described the atmosphere at Ibrox as the best he has experienced.
His comments didn’t go down well with Hibs fans, and it seems Ross didn’t think much of them either.
“I think the responsibility for the comments is his, I don’t think they are anyone else’s,” he said, as quoted by the Daily Record. “They’re out and it’s his choice to use those words and I think he knew fine what he was doing with them.”
“If the consequences of that are good or bad, whether that’s helped him ingratiate himself with the club he’s at and alienate himself from his parent club, the consequences will be felt by him.
“You can choose your own words and you have to think about the potential outcome of these words. Undoubtedly he has made it more difficult to ingratiate himself back with the Hibs supporters should he come back into the club.”
He went on to assert that judging by the comments, Kamberi hopes he won’t have to play for Hibs again.

Verdict
Ross was never likely to come out in defence of Kamberi, particularly after the fury he provoked amongst the Edinburgh club’s support base.
It does seem that, to a certain extent, the player has burned his bridges at Easter Road, despite being contracted there until 2022.
The important thing now, though, is that he is successful over the coming weeks and months.
As Ross said, he’s already ingratiated himself with the Rangers fans, and now it’s time to deliver on the pitch.
With the defeat at Tynecastle followed by the draw against Aberdeen at the weekend, it’s been a slow start to 2020.
If Kamberi can hit the ground running and produce goals and assists to get the club back on track, Gerrard and co are much more likely to snap him up on a permanent deal in the summer.
