Rangers manager Steven Gerrard has insisted clubs interested in signing Alfredo Morelos are “wasting their time” after reports claimed Nice were preparing an £8million bid for the striker.
Morelos has been clinical for the Gers since arriving from HJK Helsinki in 2017 and has been the subject of continued interest.

Gerrard, however, insisted Morelos will be staying put – although conceded everybody has a price.
“There’s been nothing concrete,” Gerrard said, as quoted by the Belfast Telegraph.
“At the moment in this window, Alfredo won’t be going anywhere. But every one of our players has got a price, I’m not naive enough to sit here and say they haven’t.
“But none of my players will be going out the door, certainly in this window, so anyone who is preparing a bid or thinking of a bid will be wasting their time.”

El Buffalo has hit the net 20 times for Gerrard’s side this season.
With the Gers level on points with Celtic, it would be crazy to let Morelos move on just now.
Unless there’s utterly ridiculous money on offer, he’ll be worth more to Rangers by staying at Ibrox this season.
Winning the title – and the potential Champions League riches – are far more important right now.

If clubs want to double that then they might find Rangers a bit more agreeable.
