Rangers manager Steven Gerrard has hailed Glen Kamara’s impact at Ibrox since his January arrival from Dundee – and tipped the Finnish international to be an “incredible player.”
Kamara joined the Gers at the start of the year for £50,000 after he was frozen out at Dundee and the midfielder has been a revelation in the Ibrox starting XI.
Gerrard believes his midfield of the Finn, Ryan Jack and Steven Davis “complement” each other as he raved about “absolute steal” Kamara
“The midfield complement each other very well, there is a bit of everything in there,” Gerrard said, as quoted by the Daily Mail.
“You’ve got Davis’ quality and range of passing. You’ve got Kamara who’s an absolute steal for £50,000, I can’t believe we got him. He’s going to be an incredible player if he keeps learning.”
The 23-year-old originally penned a pre-contract to join the Light Blues in the summer but after he was frozen out at Dundee, the Gers moved early.
That has paid off massively as Gerrard has been rewarded with a string of impressive performances from the 23-year-old.
With the Gers involved in European competition from early on in the summer again this year, getting Kamara in and settled a few months early could prove to be a masterstroke.
