Former Rangers midfielder Charlie Adam has been rewarded for his excellent form for Championship side Dundee, picking up December’s Player of the Month award for the second tier.
Adam joined his boyhood heroes earlier in the season, impressing for James McPake’s side last month in draws against Inverness CT and Dunfermline and victories over Arbroath, Queen of the South and Alloa.

The veteran midfielder also scored once last month, picking the ball up on the half way line and driving forward before smashing home from 35 yards in the win over the Pars.
Adam took to Twitter to express his joy at the award, saying on Twitter: “Delighted to win SPFL Championship Player of the Month for December.”
Six goals and nine assists represent an outstanding return from 16 appearances this season from Adam and after a poor start to the campaign, Dundee are now third in the second-tier and level on points with second-placed Dunfermline, who have a game in hand.
The Dens Park side will be hoping to push on and make a real challenge for the title and a return to the Premiership this season with Adam leading them.
Rangers supporters have also railed against Celtic’s “apology” for the trip to Dubai and one unbecoming assertion from the statement.
