Rangers have confirmed that the club is investigating an “alleged incident” after players were thought to have been at a party where 10 penalty notices were noticed – and Gers fans have absolutely zero tolerance of the latest apparent acts of stupidity.

The club released a statement last night after hours of rumours on social media, confirming they were aware of the allegations and would be carrying out an internal investigation.

The incident is understood to involve at least four Rangers players – two first-team players and two Academy youngsters  – after Police Scotland confirmed they had attended an address in Glasgow in the early hours of Sunday morning, saying: “We received reports of a gathering at a property in Hayburn Lane, Glasgow at 1.10am on Sunday 14th February.” [Sky Sports]

“Officers attended and those in attendance left. 10 people were issued with fixed penalty notices for breaching coronavirus regulations.”

After going through similar with George Edmundson and Jordan Jones at the end of 2020, the Gers support have no sympathy for any players breaking the rules and want the club to through the book at the players involved.
