Rangers fans can’t agree over Ryan Kent after the left-winger’s performance against Kilmarnock.

Steven Gerrard’s side won 3-1 at Rugby Park yesterday after a fine success against Steve Clarke’ men. A hat-trick from Alfredo Morelos sealed the deal and gave Rangers progression into the Berfred Cup quarter-finals.

Subsequently, Rangers will now face Ayr United at Ibrox in the next round after an impressive all-round display in Ayrshire.

However, despite Morelos’ hat-trick, there was another forward player taking some reaction from supporters post-match.

Ryan Kent put in an energetic display and was a constant menace down the left. He pace will cause a lot of opposition sides problems in Scotland, and he showed that at key stages against Killie, exciting some fans. However, his end product wasn’t there at times. Equally, this meant other fans were frustrated with his display.

Therefore, supporters were queuing up on social media post-match to praise and criticise the on-loan Liverpool man for his individual performance.




The polarising performance concerned some Rangers supporters whilst pleasing others. However, it remains to be seen whether the injury to Jamie Murphy in the first half now opens the door for Kent to get more game-time.
