Rangers have lost 2-1 to Kilmarnock to leave the Gers title ambitions hanging by a thread with Celtic now ten points clear in the league.
Steven Gerrard made three changes from the 4-1 Scottish Cup win over Hamilton as Andy Halliday, Niko Katic and Ryan Jack replaced Borna Barisic, George Edmundson and Glen Kamara in the starting XI.
With Killie happy to side deep and absorb whatever pressure Rangers could put them under in the opening 45, it took a fantastic strike from Scott Arfield after 32 minutes to break the deadlock – before the Canadian sprinted the length of the pitch to celebrate with Allan McGregor.
Scott Arfield scoring a beauty to put Rangers in front at Kilmarnock…
Then sprinting the whole way back down the pitch to celebrate with Allan McGregor in goal 😂

With the Gers looking to see the game out, it all started going wrong after the break as two second-half goals turned the game on its head.
The Rugby Park defeat is the third time Rangers have dropped points in five league games since the winter break and has torpedoed any real hope the Light Blues have on wrestling the title away from Celtic.
Here’s how Steven Gerrard’s side performed against Kilmarnock:
Allan McGregor – 6
Barely involved but still had to pick the ball out of the net twice.
James Tavernier – 7
Skipper tried his best to get up and down the right but the Gers were sometimes slow to move the ball on. Needed to have his wits about him defensively as the game wore on.
Niko Katic – 6
Replaced George Edmundson because of Killie’s aerial threat and was badly at fault for Killie’s winner.
Connor Goldson – 6
Strong performance from the former Brighton star as he marshalled the defence well until the end when it all apart.
Andy Halliday – 6
150th appearance for Rangers as he replaced the injured Borna Barisic in the starting XI. Comfortably enough defensively but offers nowhere near enough going forward.
Ryan Jack – 7
Back in the side after missing four games through injury and slotted straight back into his usual role. Tired as the game went on and Rangers were hit by a sucker punch.
Scott Arfield – 6
Fairly quiet in the opening 30 minutes before rifling home the opener to delight the travelling Gers fans. Almost grabbed a second.
Joe Aribo – 6
Took a sore one as he took a shot at goal and looked to be coming off but managed to last until the near the end when he was replaced by Kamberi.
Ianis Hagi – 6
Romanian tried to make things happen and was on the receiving end of a few heavy tackles from Killie’s midfield ‘enforcers.’ Fell out of the game as Rangers looked for a second goal. Replaced near the end.
Ryan Kent – 6
Quiet first half before being booked minutes before the break for some handbags with Alan Power.
Alfredo Morelos – 6
Too many moves broke down at the Colombian’s feet as he struggled to really impose himself. Booked for diving when he was driving through on goal. Should have scored late on
Substitutes: Greg Stewart – On for Hagi for the last 8 minutes; Florian Kamberi – Final few minutes in place of Aribo.
