Three changes for Rangers v Aberdeen as starting XI confirmed

Rangers mark their 150th birthday this afternoon with the visit of Aberdeen to Ibrox in the Scottish Premiership – and Gers boss Gio van Bronckhorst has named his starting XI to take on Jim Goodwin’s side.

The Light Blue have made three changes from the side that beat St Johnstone in midweek as Borna Barisic, Ryan Jack and Fashion Sakala come into the side, replacing Leon Balogun, John Lundstram and Scott Arfield.

Ahead of them, Ryan Jack and Glen Kamara anchor the Light Blues’ midfield with Joe Aribo again deployed in a more attacking role.

With Alfredo Morelos taking his usual place in attack, Ryan Kent and Fashion Sakala will be tasked with providing the Colombian as he looks to add to his goal tally.

As the club marks 150 years since four lads had a dream, there will be a special display ahead of kick-off at Ibrox as the fans join in the festivities.

A win this afternoon would see Rangers draw level on points with Celtic ahead of their trip to face Livingston tomorrow afternoon and will help ramp up the pressure in the title race.
