Spurs boss looking forward to 'amazing' Ibrox atmosphere v Rangers tomorrow

Rangers take on Tottenham tomorrow in the Light Blues’ final pre-season fixture and Spurs boss Antonio Conte is taking nothing for granted ahead of the Ibrox clash.

The Italian is expecting an “amazing” atmosphere at Ibrox and thinks that will make things difficult for his Premier League stars tomorrow afternoon.

Rangers have beaten West Ham and Blackpool so far in pre-season, while also seeing a clash with Sunderland abandonded, and Conte is well aware of what to expect from Gio van Bronckhorst’s side.

“It’s a big game, and I’m sure the atmosphere will be amazing,” Conte said. “When you play away against Rangers or against Celtic it’s always very difficult because you play in an amazing atmosphere, but it is a good test for us and we’re talking about a very good team.

“They lost the final of the Europa League last season, and in their last friendly game they beat West Ham 3-1.

This is another big test for us, a big team.

“I know a little bit of the rivalry between England and Scotland, so it will be interesting!

“The most important thing is to be ready; it doesn’t matter if it’s a pre-season game, we need to go there and do our jobs, do our best and the best way to prepare for the season is to play to win the game and that’s what we’re going to do.

“I’m sure for Rangers it’s a good opportunity as well.

“They played in the Europa League Final so it’s a good game for us, an interesting game. Let’s do our best.”

Spurs should provide an excellent challenge for Rangers tomorrow

With Rangers returning to competitive action next week, Spurs should be an excellent final test for the Light Blues.

Although a win over the Premier League side ultimately counts for nothing, it’ll be a good test for the Rangers stars to face the likes of Harry Kane and co.

Getting some final minutes into the legs before facing Livingston next weekend should set the Gers up perfectly for the return of competitive games as they eye the Champions League groups and the Scottish Premiership title.

Here are some of the key dates for Rangers next season as they look to win the Premiership title back
