Rangers starting XI confirmed to face St Johnstone

Rangers manager Gio van Bronckhorst has named his starting XI for tonight’s Premiership clash with St Johnstone at McDiarmid Park – and the Gers boss has made one change to the side that drew with Motherwell, Leon Balogun replacing Fashion Sakala.

The Light Blues have been in poor form away from home in the league, failing to win any of their last four league games away from home.

Van Bronckhorst’s side were already without Ianis Hagi, Ryan Jack, Fil Helander, Steven Davis, Aaron Ramsey and Amad Diallo going into the game, with Rangers very much needing three points to reignite their title ambitions.

Allan McGregor starts in goal with a back four of James Tavernier, Connor Goldson, Leon Balogun and Calvin Bassey ahead of him.

In midfield, John Lundstram and Glen Kamara anchor the Gers’ midfield with Joe Aribo further forward, while Ryan Kent and Scott Arfield join Alfredo Morelos in the Light Blues’ attack.

Here’s how Rangers line up against St Johnstone at McDiarmid Park:

Rangers fans have made their feelings perfectly clear about the Celtic clash in Australia with fan media leaders claiming the board are “out of touch”.
