Rangers star Kemar Roofe might not have been seen in Ibrox training ahead of the Europa League semi-final clash with RB Leipzig, but that’s not stopped him hinting about a return via social media.

Gers fans have been desperate to read between the lines with regards Aaron Ramsey and now may well be doing the same with the Jamaican international forward.

Whilst the ex-Leeds United man is certainly being cryptic, it’s had plenty of supporters believing it’s a small hint that Kemar Roofe will be involved in some capacity v RB Leipzig.

Rangers trail 1-0 to the Germans and need to muster up an iconic night at Ibrox Stadium to force themselves past the Bundesliga club and into the Europa League Final.

The inclusion of both Aaron Ramsey – who was clipped in Ibrox training ahead of the match – and Kemar Roofe will come as a major boost if they are to be involved.

Both are potential matchwinners and both have the experience to make the difference at this level.

Return of Kemar Roofe would be huge Rangers boost v Leipzig

Rangers missed Kemar Roofe in particular in the first leg and started without a recognised striker as they fell to late defeat in German.

The inclusion of the ex-Anderlecht star would be a huge lift to the support ahead of the match but manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst was coy about his involvement before the game.

“It depends how the training will go. When they got injured we all knew that they would work towards the game tomorrow [Thursday],” said van Bronckhorst [Rangers].

“Of course I will wait as long as possible, but the most important thing for me is that they are physically able to play a part in tomorrow’s game, that is always the deciding factor.

“We still have one day to prepare. Today will be an important day for both. I cannot tell you if they are in the squad for tomorrow or not.”

Rangers have also confirmed a minute’s silence will be held at Ibrox against RB Leipzig to remember the legendary Ibrox kitman Jimmy Bell, who passed away this week.
