Rangers speedster Brandon Barker has been spotted in training ahead of Sunday’s Premiership fixture against Motherwell.
Barker spent the second half of last season on loan at Oxford United but returned to Ibrox in the summer and played a part in pre-season.
In July, Steven Gerrard suggested that the winger had a role to play, but he hasn’t featured since the competitive action began.
Barker made the bench for the League Cup quarter-final win over Livingston last month but was an unused substitute and hasn’t made the squad for any of the Gers’ other 19 fixtures across all competitions.
The fact that the 25-year-old still hasn’t featured despite fellow winger Ryan Kent being out with a hamstring injury for over a month, suggests his days are numbered at Ibrox.
His presence in the RangersTV footage from Friday training (0:54) proves that he’s fit, though, and there’s a very outside chance that he could be involved against Motherwell.

The Rangers team has lacked pace in the absence of Kent and that’s something the former Man City Academy Player of the Year undoubtedly has in abundance.
Scott Wright and Fashion Sakala are clearly ahead of him in the pecking order and are more likely to get the nod, but if Gerrard fancies shaking things up after a poor midweek performance, Barker is an option.
Jordan Jones came into the side at Motherwell last season and scored a superb goal, so there’s precedent for a left-field move paying off at Fir Park.
