Rangers predicted XI v Livingston: van Bronckhorst responds to Hagi blow

Rangers are preparing to face off v Livingston for the fourth time already this season as they welcome David Martindale’s side to Ibrox.

The Gers have won all three of the previous meeting this season with a goal difference of 11 to 1 and Rangers go into the Scottish Premiership clash as heavy favourites.

Rangers fans are also expecting the club to bounce back on league duties against the Lions after stumbling against Aberdeen on the club’s first match since the winter break returned.

That 1-1 draw at Pittodrie – amid a woeful Rangers and refereeing performance – looks more and more like a point gained but for this to ring true van Bronckhorst’s side must return to winning ways quickly.

LEAVE RASHFORD ALONE.

The Scottish Cup clash with Stirling Albion saw Rangers ring the changes and a much-altered Ibrox team managed a 4-0 win against the part-time League Two club.

We expect these to be reversed heading into the match with Livingston but there were a few players who took their opportunity and caught the eye.

Ibrox kid Alex Lowry – a first-half sub after Ianis Hagi was forced off – impressed on his debut and nabbed the opening goal to boot.

Zambian attacker Fashion Sakala was also a promising outlet throughout the match and Swiss forward Cedric Itten – whilst at times trying too hard – got his goal to kickstart his Ibrox return.

Rangers to look to Alex Lowry v Livingston amid Ianis Hagi blow?

We are backing Rangers to recall their big hitters for this game with Livingston as Allan McGregor, James Tavernier, Connor Goldson, Leon Balogun and Borna Barisic start in defence.

In the sitting midfield two, we’re backing Glen Kamara to start alongside the returning Scott Arfield with Alex Lowry given the nod in the number 10 amid the crushing long-term absence of Ianis Hagi and Joe Aribo’s exploits at AFCON.

With Ryan Kent suspended, we’re backing Fashion Sakala to start on the left with Cedric Itten up top amid Alfredo Morelos’ Colombia call and Kemar Roofe’s lack of minutes, and Scott Wright pitching in on the right.
