Rangers will get a distraction from title race this weekend when they make the trip to face Hamilton in the Scottish Cup – and Steven Gerrard’s side could feature a few changes from the midweek win over Hibs.

The Light Blues needed a late winner from Ianis Hagi to see off a dogged Hibs on Wednesday night and will be hoping for an easier afternoon against the Accies.

While it might seem like the ideal time to rotate the squad and use some of the fringe players, recent stuttering performances might just see Gerrard limit how much he changes his side.

Wes Foderingham replacing Allan McGregor seems a likely change from Wednesday with the backup keeper getting a rare chance to impress.

After being off the pace a little in recent games, Ryan Kent could also find himself given a rest with Jordan Jones the most likely candidate to replace him if Gerrard does make a change.

Jermain Defoe has made a habit of starting games away to Hamilton since signing for the Gers but the veteran will have to kick his heels on the bench with Alfredo Morelos still not quite back at his best.

With a squad nearing full strength, the Gers should book their place in the quarter-finals as Gerrard aims to get his side back to their best for the title charge.

Here’s how we think Gerrard’s Rangers will line up against Accies:

Wes Foderingham

James Tavernier

Connor Goldson

George Edmundson

Borna Barisic

Steven Davis

Scott Arfield

Joe Aribo

Ianis Hagi

Jordan Jones

Alfredo Morelos
