Rangers’ starting XI to take on Dundee in the Premiership at Dens Park has been confirmed and supporters have responded on social media.

Filip Helander is out of action until December and on Friday afternoon, Steven Gerrard confirmed that both Ryan Kent and Ryan Jack are several weeks away from a return.

Summer signing Nnamdi Ofoborh is also still unavailable while the club attempts to get to the bottom of a potential heart issue.

However, Dundee have injuries to contend with too, with Charlie Adam and Danny Mullen sidelined, and Steven Gerrard still had a strong group of players to pick from.

In all, he’s made two changes from the side that defeated Livingston 2-0 in a Premier Sports Cup quarter-final at Ibrox on Wednesday night.

Jon McLaughlin continues in goal ahead of Allan McGregor, while James Tavernier comes in for Nathan Patterson, with Connor Goldson, Leon Balogun and Calvin Bassey keeping their places at the back.

The manager has stuck with the same midfield three that did the job against Livi, with John Lundstram keeping out Steven Davis and both Glen Kamara and Joe Aribo also continuing.

At the top end of the pitch, there’s one change, with Ianis Hagi coming in for Scott Wright to join Kemar Roofe and Alfredo Morelos.

Will this team be strong enough to secure all three points at Dens Park?

Plenty of supporters are confident and were delighted to see Hagi named in the starting XI for the first time since his return following a Covid-related absence.
