Rangers boss insists focusing stars on Dundee United will be 'easy'

Rangers manager Gio van Bronckhorst is certain it will be “easy” to refocus his players on Sunday’s Premiership clash against Dundee United, insisting everything he’s seen from his squad since the final whistle last night gives him confidence they have shifted their attention to a massive three points in the title race.

After the stunning 4-2 win in Dortmund last night, it would be easy to get carried away but Gio is sure his players already have their focus on the meeting with Tam Courts’ side.

The Dutchman thinks his squad are in a “good moment” as he prepares to put them through their final training session before heading to Tayside on Sunday.

Rangers lost on their last visit to Tannadice to face Dundee United, ending their long unbeaten league record and the Gers will no doubt be eager for a measure of revenge.

“I think it’s easy because we are changing our focus to our domestic league,” van Bronckhorst said [Rangers TV]. “We had good results in the last games we played and we all know the importance of this game.

“The players are in a good moment but they’re really focused. I’ve said before we were really happy with the performances but directly after the game we also started our recovery for Sunday and today as well. Tomorrow we will have a final session to prepare the team for the game and travel to Dundee.

“It’s good, we’ve had good performances but now we have to switch our focus to the league and we know it’s going to be a tough game on Sunday but we need the points so we have to be up for the challenge. When I seen the players and their behaviour after the game, I think we will be.”
