Rangers star Fashion Sakala might’ve joined up with his new teammates last week, but he is yet to make his debut for the Ibrox club.

The Zambian forward, 24, will be put through his paces at the club’s Auchenhowie training centre as he looks to get up to speed with the others in pre-season.

Fashion signed a pre-contract deal earlier in the year announcing his intention to join Rangers after a 16 goal season in the Belgian top flight with KV Oostende.

But a big part of preparing for any new campaign is minutes and that’s why the stage is set for Fashion to make his Rangers debut at Ibrox this weekend.

The Gers are set to welcome firstly Brighton of the English Premier League to Glasgow on Saturday before Spanish giants Real Madrid visit the next day [Rangers].

With two games back to back, this is the last remaining scheduled opportunity for Sakala to get a run out before the season starts for real on the 31st of July.

What’s more, when Fashion does finally pull on the famous Light Blue for the first time he’ll be doing so in front of fans.

A total of 8500 fans will be in Ibrox for the visit of Brighton whilst the club will welcome 12,750 supporters for the visit of Real Madrid

All of them will be hoping to catch a glance of Sakala ahead of the big kick off with the player’s positivity, excitement and attitude glowing in his welcome interview.

Turning down clubs from the top flights in England, France and Spain to join Rangers, if Fashion can hit the ground running then we’re sure he’ll be a fan favourite before long.
