Falkirk co-manager Lee Miller says “all the pressure is on Rangers” ahead of Sunday’s Last 16 League Cup tie between the sides, as he plots a major upset [Falkirk FC Twitter].

The Gers come into the game on a 22-match unbeaten run in all competitions and have scored 17 goals in their last four matches.

However, Falkirk have also started the season well and are full of confidence heading into the game. They finished ahead of Kilmarnock to qualify as runners-up from Group E and are currently top of the League One table with four wins and two draws from their opening six matches.

Miller knows that his players are facing a big challenge but says plans are in place to try to hurt the visitors.

“All the pressure is on Rangers,” he said [Falkirk FC Twitter]. “But we want to go and show what we are capable of. We want to go and give a good account of ourselves and we’re not here to make up the numbers.”

“We want to go and participate and see what we can get out of the game. We’ve got a game plan in place, we’ve worked on a few things this morning and the boys are really looking forward to it.”

Given that the tie has fallen in between two Europa League fixtures, Steven Gerrard is likely to make a host of changes to his playing XI on Sunday.

The Gers will still be taking the match seriously, though, knowing that a victory at the Falkirk Stadium would secure progression to the quarter-finals and leave them just three wins away from major silverware.
