Rangers star Ianis Hagi was left kicking his heels on the sidelines as Romania picked up a 3-2 win over Austria in the Nations League last night.
Hagi was left out of the side in Klagenfurt as goals from Denis Alibec, Dragos Grigore and Alexandru Maxim secured three points and send Romania top of their group.
After a draw with Northern Ireland on Friday night, the Romanians followed up with a thrilling win to leave them a point clear of Norway and Austria after the first two rounds of games.
Despite Austria dominating the game, Romania showed how clinical they can be in front of goal in the thrilling clash with the Austrians.
Hagi has struggled to really get going this season for Rangers and the attacking midfielder really needs to rediscover his form soon following his permanent move from Genk.
Rangers take on Dundee United this weekend and it would be a perfect opportunity for Hagi to get back to his best and show why Steven Gerrard was so keen to bring him to Ibrox.
With six appearances under his belt for Rangers this season, the upcoming run of games should be ideal for him as Dundee United then Lincoln Red Imps take on the Light Blues.
