Rangers star hailed by these Gers fans after impressing in first start for national team

Rangers star Nathan Patterson was one of Scotland’s top performers last night as he impressed on his maiden start for the national team – and Gers fans on Twitter were full of praise for the teenager after showing why he should be first-choice for Scotland.

The right-back only returned to training on Friday after a stint in isolation following positive Covid tests at Rangers but was given the nod over Stephen O’Donnell for last night’s Hampden win over Moldova.

Patterson played a key role in Lyndon Dykes’ goal,  winning the ball at halfway before driving forward and playing a give-and-go with Hibs striker Kevin Nisbet and seeing his shot saved with Dykes tapping home the rebound.

While it was only his third cap for his country, there are plenty who feel the Rangers star should be first-choice for Scotland and, on his performances so far, it’s hard to disagree.

WAYNE ROONEY TO EVERTON IS A JOKE.

His continuing excellent performances are going to put pressure on the Rangers hierarchy soon as it gets to the point where Patterson simply can’t afford to sit on the bench and deputise for James Tavernier at Ibrox.

Rangers fans on Twitter were full of praise for Patterson after impressing once again for Scotland – with several feeling the Light Blues are getting to a crucial stage where a decision will need to be made.

Here are some of the comments from Rangers fans on Twitter after Patterson’s impressive performance for Scotland:

Meanwhile, a key Rangers star has been talking about his future at Ibrox amid £15m links out of the club this summer.
