Rangers are through to the Europa League final after a stunning win over RB Leipzig at Ibrox saw the Light Blues triumph 3-2 on aggregate.

James Tavernier and Glen Kamara‘s goals had Rangers 2-0 up at the break as Ibrox was absolutely rocking as Gio van Bronckhorst’s side overturned a one-goal deficit against the Bundesliga big spenders.

After the Germans pulled one back the level the tie on aggregate, John Lundstram scored Rangers’ third of the night to seal a famous win for the Gers.

The Light Blues have played an incredible 18 games in the Europa League this season and now stand 90 minutes away from a famous European glory.

Gers fans will now be scrambling to find a way to get to Seville for the final before trying to get their hands on tickets as Rangers return to a European final for the first time since 2018.

With a possible European success coming on the 50th anniversary of Rangers’ European Cup Winners’ Cup win as well as the club’s 150th anniversary, it would be a stunning end to what was already a landmark year at Ibrox.

Who will Rangers face in the Europa League final?

Rangers will play German side Eintracht Frankfurt in the 2021/22 Europa League final. The Gers will officially be the away side in the final.

When is the Europa League final?

The final will be played on Wednesday 18 May 2022 at 8pm and will be shown live by BT Sport.

Where will it be played?

This year’s Europa League final will be played in Sevilla’s Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan Stadium. In use since 1958, the ground staged games at the 1982 FIFA World Cup and was also the venue for Steaua Bucureşti’s 1986 European Cup final shoot-out success aganst Barcelona. It has a capacity exceeding 43,000.

How to get tickets?

UEFA’s ballot closed for general sale tickets last month while both clubs will be given an allocation to sell to supporters. With Rangers having more season ticket holders than the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan Stadium holds, tickets for Gers fans will be like gold dust.
