Rangers fans have responded on social media after the Gers starting XI to face Brondby in the Europa League was confirmed.

The Gers have travelled to Denmark in search of a second victory in Group A after their 2-0 triumph over the same opposition at Ibrox a fortnight ago.

Steven Gerrard’s side will be full of confidence after a 6-1 win over Motherwell on Sunday, but the home side have regrouped recently.

They’ve won three matches since their defeat in Glasgow and have a key player back this evening following a minor injury.

Filip Helander and Ryan Jack are missing for the Gers, but Ryan Kent has made the squad after recovering from a hamstring problem.

In the end, Gerrard opted to make just one change from the side that won so emphatically at Fir Park at the weekend.

Allan McGregor remains between the sticks but fit-again Borna Barisic has replaced Calvin Bassey at left-back, with the Croatia international joining James Tavernier, Connor Goldson and Leon Balogun in the back four.

In midfield, Scott Arfield makes his first start of the group stages alongside Steven Davis and Glen Kamara, who has shaken off a knock.

The hat-trick hero from the weekend, Fashion Sakala, has kept his place in the team, with Joe Aribo occupying the other inside forward role and Alfredo Morelos leading the line.

Will this side be good enough to secure all three points?

Barisic is an experienced performer who’s been excellent for the Gers in the past in Europe but plenty of supporters have questioned the decision to drop Bassey.

Here’s a selection of reactions from Twitter:
