Rangers Europa League final referee confirmed as Gers prepare for Seville

Slavko Vinčić will referee the Europa League final between Eintracht Frankfurt and Rangers at Estadio Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán in Seville, UEFA have confirmed.

Vinčić will be involved in a Europa League final for the third time, having been the fourth official at the last season’s Europa League final, and as an Additional Assistant Referee at the 2017 final.

The Slovenian Vinčić will be assisted by compatriots Tomaž Klančnik and Andraž Kovačič while the fourth official, Srdjan Jovanović, is from Serbia.

The VAR role has been assigned to Dutchman Paulus van Boekel, and he will be aided by Jure Praprotnik from Slovenia and Spanish officials Alejandro Hernandez Hernandez and Roberto Diaz Perez del Palomar.

Vinčić has already taken charge of one Rangers game this season, refereeing the Light Blues’ Champions League qualifying defeat by Malmo at Ibrox in August.

As well as the Malmo clash this season, Vinčić was also the man in the middle a few years ago when Rangers faced Legia Warsaw at Ibrox in the Europa League.

However, he has never taken charge of an Eintracht Frankfurt fixture, despite his wealth of experience.

The 42-year-old has also officiated nine Champions League fixtures this season as he prepares to take charge of the Europa League final in Seville.

Here are the full list of officials for Rangers’ Europa League final clash in Seville:
