Frankfurt boss gives injury update ahead of facing Rangers in Europa League final

Eintracht Frankfurt boss Oliver Glasner has insisted his side has no new injury worries after yesterday’s 2-2 draw with Mainz saw two of their players have to be replaced after knocks in their final fixture before Wednesday’s Europa League final against Rangers in Seville.

Evan Ndicka limped off while Tuta ‘felt something’ but the Austrian boss is confident that it shouldn’t have any impact on his preparations for the Seville clash with Gio van Bronckhorst’s Gers.

“It’s nothing serious, he had blisters on his feet, it was rubbing. He had already had problems in training,” Glasner said after his side’s draw.

“Tuta also felt something, so we made three changes. Everyone got off well, everyone is fit.”

Rangers shouldn’t read much into Frankfurt knocks ahead of Seville

While the possibility of two first-team regulars missing out for Frankfurt would be a boost for Rangers, the Gers can’t get too hung up on who might – or might not – make it.

The Light Blues need to make sure their preparation is as thorough as possible and the Gers stars are ready to go in Seville on Wednesday night.

If they get that right, the game will take care of itself for Rangers in Seville.

Frankfurt nothing to fear in Seville for Rangers

Although the 2-2 draw against Mainz is hardly enough to go on, there’s nothing about Frankfurt that suggests they are better than any of the sides Rangers have already knocked out.

Getting out the blocks quickly on Wednesday and taking control of the game early will be important in Seville but Rangers have nothing to fear in the Estadio Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán.
