Broadcaster BT Sport have released a spine-tingling video building up to tonight’s Europa League final between the Rangers and Eintracht Frankfurt in Seville.
Featuring Ibrox icon Ally McCoist, the video looks back at where Rangers have been over the last decade to get to a European final – a journey that began under McCoist’s management.
With clips from the club’s incredible European run taking over from news footage from the wake of Rangers’ financial meltdown in 2012, it is an emotional 105 seconds.
McCoist’s voiceover only adds to it as the club’s all-time record goalscorer gives a rousing speech that leaves the hair on your arms standing on end, saying: “To understand what this means, you need to take it back. 2012, heartbroken, humiliated, it was surreal – but you never gave up, you stayed by us.
“Fifty thousand at Ibrox, every other week, we rose, and we rose again and eventually, we were back.
“Stevie G had a master plan – pride restored – and this season we showed the whole of Europe who we are.
“Here were boys taking on all-comers; Dortmund destroyed, Braga battered, then Leipzig… wow. Absolute carnage.
“You showed up, you backed the boys… a night that will be remembered forever.
“And now, the stage is set, the chance to join the greats. Seville ain’t going to know what’s hit it.
“One final match, one final push.
“Be loud, be proud, be ready. Come on you Gers.”
Gio van Bronckhorst’s side are set to be backed by a huge support with over 100,000 expected in Seville and half of the tickets for the Estadio Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán with Gers fans.
As well as those lucky enough to actually have tickets for the Europa League final, Rangers fans will be watching from Estadio La Cartuja in Seville on big screens.
As the hours until kick-off drag by, ‘Make Us Dream’.
