I am really looking forward to our game at Hampden on Sunday. This is one of Pedros biggest games so far against one of the form teams in the country right now. We are doing alright in the league but we have not quite matched Aberdeens consistency so far. We really need to catch Aberdeen in the league and be reaching cup finals as a tangible sign of progress.
Motherwell are doing great and this will be a good test as they’ll be very dangerous, Moult especially.
Here’s hoping we snatch him up either in January or get him on a pre-contract.
We’re picking up gradually and becoming a more cohesive unit, and we’re not getting pushed around like we did at the start of the season.
A few players finding their feet and with Alves in defence, I reckon we’ll boss the game.
I think there are some interesting things in there. Obviously, Morelos has done well but now he needs to handle the expectation and the fact he has become a bit of a marked man. Teams are clearly having a nibble at him and trying to get him to react.
MORE RANGERS STORIES
Part of the problem with Scottish football is that teams figure each other out very quickly, especially since we play each other so often.
And sadly we don’t have the calibre of coaches who can vary their tactics enough to counter that.
We won narrowly away at Fir Park in the first game of the season but its fair to say both teams have developed a fair bit since then. I think it will be close again and am actually expecting a real ding-dong cup semi. I would go for 3-2 to Rangers on Sunday.
