Wes Foderingham – 8

Had no chance with Mikkelson’s goal and only really had a couple of comfortable saves to make but, it was the way he came charging out for crosses that impressed me. He caught everything cleanly and on one occasion he was fouled. Much more like it from big Wes.

James Tavernier – 8

Stopped a lot of attacks early, positive in possession and continues to build an impressive relationship with Candeias highlighted with first goal. Gave away a couple of silly free-kicks but another player improving most weeks.

Lee Wallace – 7

Always willing to go forward and offer himself, great cut back for Herrera’s goal. He was isolated with Niko cutting inside and dropping deep though and obviously missed Windass. No chance with Ross County goal as had already pushed forward.

Bruno Alves – 7

Solid, barely broke sweat (again), won everything in the air and drove forward with the ball on a few occasions. Need more of this from centre halves.

Fabio Cordoso – 7

Would’ve been an 8 but for marking for Ross County goal. Can only think he thought Mikkelson was going to front post. Settling into good pairing and looking more assured every week.

Ryan Jack – 7

Standard. Unfussy, won the ball, moved it on. Such an important player already.

Graham Dorrans – 7

Similar to Jack today but with more probing balls forward, would like to see him take more men on to break lines though.

Danial Candeias – 8

Tireless, huge work rate. Great relationship with Tavernier beginning to pay off. Delivery from open play put defence under constant pressure. Pass to Pena was a joy to behold.

Niko Kranjcar – 6

Ineffective, gave away free kicks, possibly fouled in build up to Ross County goal. Worked hard but nothing really came off for him today.

Kenny Miller – 6

Similar to Niko but rather than giving fouls away he gave the ball away, too many times in good positions. Made good run to front post to free up Morelos for first goal though.

Substitutes:
Eduardo Herrera – 7

Put himself about and linked up well with Pena a few times when the latter was moved into 10 role. Classy finish for Rangers’ third.

Carlos Pena – 6

Could’ve had a goal. Best impression he has made on a game always looking to get in behind defence and run off Herrera.

Jordan Rossiter – 6

Neat and tidy 10-15 minutes, added mobility and energy to midfield at perfect time.
