Despite some luck going against Rangers in the game yesterday, some players didn’t play too well. Here’s a look at the ratings:
WES FODERINGHAM – 5
Made a great save in the first half, but was beaten by the three goals. At the game, I felt he was a bit poor with the first two, but after watching again I realise he had little chance with either.
JAMES TAVERNIER – 6
Scored an own goal and one at the other end. His game was full of incident, as he was involved in an early scrap. Left exposed in the second half by our loss of a man, but kept trying to get forward and create chances.
FABIO CARDOSO – 4
A very poor game for the big Portuguese defender yesterday. Whilst he was somewhat unfortunate to be left in the position he was for the first goal, he never defended it very well at all. Gave away a number of fouls and missed an absolute sitter in the second half.
BRUNO ALVES – 5
Only just better than Cardoso. Cleared a lot of crosses, but was poor for the first two goals conceded, caught on the wrong side for the second which left us short. His attitude and leadership kept us going, but those mistakes put us in a poor position.
LEE HODSON – 4
Never looked very comfortable defensively, and was subbed at halftime to allow the formation change. In truth, there’s every chance he would have been withdrawn regarldess.

DANIEL CANDEIAS – 6
Set up the goal with a great free-kick and was constantly a threat. Had to be replaced at halftime to allow for the formation change, but was our most dangerous player on the day.
RYAN JACK – 4
Has to be a lower rating due to his red card, but said dismissal was a poor decision. Was playing pretty well up to that point, often the reason we had any sort of dominance in possession.
GRAHAM DORRANS – 5
Started the game well, but started to struggle with the Hibs shape in midfield before the red card. Was asked to sit deeper once we went down to 10 men and that meant his influence on the game was minimal.
JOSH WINDASS – 5
Created a great chance for Miller with some good play on the left. He also had a good run towards the end of the game, but was largely quiet. Asked to just stay high up the pitch late in the game which left our defence exposed.
ALFREDO MORELOS – 6
Scored the opener, and was playing very well in the first half. Unlucky with a chance in the second half. Certainly looks like a good prospect.
KENNY MILLER – 5
A poor game from Miller. His willingness to help the team was positive, but his passing and decision making was the worst we’ve seen from him in a while.
DANNY WILSON – 6
A good cross for the Tavernier goal. Was involved in a decent amount going forward, and defended well enough despite a lot of pressure.
EDUARDO HERRERA – 5
Worked really hard, but the nature of the game meant that long balls were his only service and there was little he could do.
CARLOS PENA – 4
Only played 25 minutes, and the game was done by then. Done well to win the late free-kick, but like the rest of our midfield in the second half, he was chasing shadows.
