Rangers are set to benefit as Livingston will be without Robby McCrorie for their trip to Ibrox on Sunday due to the terms of his loan deal.

McCrorie joined Livi for a second loan stint at the beginning of the season and has established himself as the no.1 keeper at the Tony Macaroni Arena.

He has been in goal for all but one of their 11 Premiership fixtures so far this season, keeping two clean sheets along the way.

The Scotland youth international has impressed at times with his shot-stopping abilities but he did make a costly error last weekend in a home defeat to Kilmarnock.

He’s set to be replaced between the sticks at Ibrox by back-up keeper, Max Stryjek.

The former Poland U19 international started his career at Sunderland and has only made one Premiership appearance since joining Livingston in July.

Stryjek kept a clean sheet in that outing against the Gers in West Lothian in August, pulling off a fine save to prevent a Borna Barisic free-kick from finding the top corner.

He has since made two appearances in the League Cup, conceding once against both Edinburgh City and Alloa Athletic in recent group stage fixtures.

It has been a decent start to life in Scotland for the 24-year-old, but the Gers will make sure he’s really tested out on Sunday.

Steven Gerrard has plenty of firepower to call upon with Alfredo Morelos, Cedric Itten, Jermain Defoe and Kemar Roofe all available for selection and he’ll fancy his side to deliver three points on home soil.
